COUGH

A cough is protective reflex that prevents harmful particle going inside lungs. Cough can be indicator of underlying damage or infection.

cough can have simple cause like  upper respiratory tract infection or hyperacidity going in lungs  or can be indicative of serious condition like ILD, pneumonia and cancer , depending on clinical history.

cough can be more in night in cases like asthma, bronchitis, simple pulmonary eosinophillia/ Loffler,s syndrome.
